Member FAQ
What is Rx 'n Go?
Rx ‘n Go is an employer sponsored prescription medication savings program that supplies and delivers up to a 90-day supply of generic prevention and maintenance medications right to your doorstep for free.
How much does it cost members?
Nothing. There are no membership fees, no enrollment fees, no copays or shipping costs. That’s right, it’s totally free to members. Members on a PPO plan have access to all 1,200 medications. Due to IRS regulations, members on a Qualified High Deductible Health Plan (QHDHP) with a Health Savings Account (HSA) will only have access to ~800 preventive medications at no cost. If you are on a QHDHP and want to get non-preventive medications through Rx ‘n Go, you always have the option to pay out-of-pocket – call customer service to confirm 888.697.9646.
What generic medications does Rx ‘n Go carry?
Rx 'n Go offers more than 1,300 generic maintenance and preventive medications available across 53 therapeutic categories. That's nearly three times the number of generic drugs available at a retail pharmacist.
Who can be a Rx ‘n Go member?
Employees and their eligible family members of companies sponsoring Rx 'n Go and who participate in the employer’s benefit program can be members.
Why is the pharmacy called Transition Pharmacy and not Rx ‘n Go?
Transition Pharmacy is the fulfillment pharmacy used by the Rx ‘n Go program. Transition Pharmacy is located in Trevose, PA (outside of Philadelphia), which is also where the Rx ‘n Go customer service team is located. When your doctor is submitting a prescription via E-Scribe, please have them use the name Transition Pharmacy (PA) versus Rx 'n Go. If you doctor is having issues finding the eScribe, please use NPI # 1336325265
What if I have a controlled substance?
There are limited number of controlled substances on the Rx ‘n Go covered medications list. Many states only allow for a 30-day supply of controlled substances at a time. All shipments of controlled substances will also require an adult signature upon delivery. If it is unlikely someone will be at your home for signature during daytime deliveries, you may request these shipments are delivered to your place of work. Please request the address change before the order is processed through the Self-Service portal or by contacting Customer Service.
Whereas most generic maintenance medications will be set on automatic refill, controlled substances will need to be requested by the member for each refill. If you still have active refills remaining on your prescription, you may request the refill on your portal, by calling 888-697-9646 or emailing rxngo@transitionrx.com. The pharmacy is unable to request new prescriptions for Schedule II substances from your doctor, so if you are taking one of these medications you will need to contact your doctor to request he or she send the prescription to Transition Pharmacy via Escribe (Transition Pharmacy in Trevose PA) or mailed into the pharmacy.
Certain state laws require the presence of the original written prescription for pharmacies to fill any controlled substance medications; if this is the case, you will need to mail the original prescription to Transition Pharmacy, the fulfillment pharmacy, at Rx 'n Go c/o Transition Pharmacy, 2546 Metropolitan Dr, Trevose, PA 19053. Please call Rx ‘n Go customer service if you have any questions about your controlled substance 888-697-9646.
What if I am prescribed a medication that is not on the Rx ‘n Go drug list?
In many cases, Rx ‘n Go will carry an alternate medications(s) in the same therapeutic category as the one you are taking. Consult your physician to determine if any of the generic products offered through the Rx 'n Go program are appropriate for you.
If there is no alternative, you will need to get your medications from the prescription benefit included in your employer provided healthcare plan (co-pays may apply).
